Lodging & Vendors

  • Ask about our Onsite Lodging House hosting up to 12 guests. 

  • No camping is allowed at venue. Camping area only 5 miles away. Hotels are only 10 minutes away. Affordable shuttle service partners (range from $80-125 an hour). 

  • We do not require you to use a specific DJ, caterer, photographer, transportation service,  lodging & do not charge any fees or require a minimum amount of sales.

  • Couples obtain liability insurance through Markel Event Insurance.

  • Because we do not tack on fees, couples spend a fraction on food and liquor compared to other venues. 

  • NEW in 2023 ~ Catering and Coordinator exclusive vendor partnerships.  

  • Catering Policy

    • Because North Star Farm is not a licensed restaurant, all food preparation must be done off-site per Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) requirements.

    • Venue does NOT have a kitchen. However, there is a side room with a table and refrigerator if needed.

    • Caterers are required to provide adequate staff for setup, maintenance, and take down-including busing of tables.

    • Caterers must place all leftover food in containers and then place leftover food into the refrigerator prior to leaving.

    • No glassware is allowed for plates or cups without written permission from the venue. 

    • No dishes can be left behind, including rented stemware or similar. 

    • All catering containers and servers must be taken with caterer and cannot be left behind.

    • All food warmer devices must be chaffers with burners (no plug-in warmers allowed for wedding day food).

    • All temperature controlled food must be provided by a licensed caterer. No exceptions. 

    • There are NO large wash sinks and all washing of dishes must be done off-site per MDH standards.
